As it stands, it appears, her husband, Lee Elliot, 40, has not contracted Covid. Shortly after Love shared her positive test, Elliot posted a photo of a negative rapid test.

Jokingly, he captioned the photo: “Question is, do I go and make out with my wife and get it corona and done with?”

In the comments of Love’s post, followers and friends shared their get well soon wishes.

Bachelorette contestant and fireman, Cameron Cranley commented: “NOOOOOO,” with Channel 7 Cricket presenter, Erin Holland sharing: “Oh girl. Rest up and kick Rona’s ass! Xx”.

Based in Melbourne, Love came to fame in 2016 when she fronted Season 2 of Channel 10’s reality dating show. The Bachelorette, where she chose Elliot as her winning contestant. To date she’s the only Bachelorette who has remained with their winning partner.

Five years after the show, the couple got married in Tasmania in March, 2021 with the theme ‘Under the TAS-cun sun’. Originally set for a celebration set in Italy, the pandemic derailed their European plans.

Since her reality TV stint, Love has returned to her journalist roots and now works for Channel 7 in a producer capacity. In September of last year, Love was pulled from her on-air role after she was criticised for posting a racist video to Instagram. The offending post featured a cat sitting inside an Asian restaurant, which she captioned: “Shop attendant or lunch?”

Love also hosts the podcast Everyone Has An Ex and has a pyjama label, Georgia Elliott Sleepwear.
