Whitfield State School hosted a special celebration to honour students’ dads ahead of Father’s Day this Sunday.

From painting and crafts to games and a Father’s Day morning stall, children had plenty of opportunities to show their appreciation for the most important men in their lives.

“We hope the dads, grandads and important people enjoy their gifts on Sunday as much as our students enjoyed shopping for them,” a spokesman for the school said.

The afternoon began at 2pm on Thursday, with proud dads like Whitfield State School PE teacher Michael Arcidiacono joining in the fun alongside his six-year-old twins, Hudson and Isla.

They enjoyed a variety of activities designed to celebrate the special bond between fathers and their children.
