Teen charged with slicing man’s ear, threatening another with scissors
A teenager has been denied bail after allegedly slicing a man’s ear with a metal can and threatening another with scissors in separate violent attacks.
A teenage boy has been charged with assaulting two men in separate incidents, including slicing a man’s ear and threatening another with a pair of scissors.
Police allege the boy assaulted a 35-year old man with a metal spray can on October 17, causing severe lacerations to the side of the head and ear which required stitches.
Earlier on October 14 the teenager allegedly punched a 40-year-old man and threatened him with a pair of scissors, vandalised the man’s car and caused extensive damage to his home.
At the time of his arrest it will be alleged the boy was in possession of a quantity of dangerous drugs.
He has been charged with three counts of assault, two of wilful damage, and one each of wounding and possess dangerous drugs.
He has been denied bail and will appear before the Cairns Children's Court today, November 13.
