A GYM focused on community fitness that has taken Australia by storm is headed to Cairns next month.
Fitstop Cairns is expected to open on April 23 at 131 Draper St, Portsmith. Josephine Tuah and her fiance, Braydon Davies, were excited to open the gym together.
“It’s group training functional fitness with a real focus on building community and helping people to achieve their best level of athleticism and health whilst giving them a supportive community,” Mr Davies said.
“We have four different workouts each week we cycle through those workouts.”
The classes lift, perform, condition and sweat aim to push people in different areas.
Mr Davies said every class people attend each week was different.
The Saturday class is a free class called sweat and is a social class that non-members can attend.
“We don’t have lock-in contracts and we will be launching some special membership prices for our foundation members,” he said.
