A PARKING fairy has hit the streets paying for people’s tickets in a creative attempt to raise awareness for mental health.
Allgood Nutrition co-founder Drew Brauer said in one day he walked around for a few hours to pay for the tickets as the Allgood parking fairy.
“We know how bad parking tickets are for mental health, we thought we’d do something a bit funny and something to give back to the community,” he said.
“We probably bought $50 or $100 worth and we might’ve saved a grand or so in parking fines.
“We’d pay for people’s ticket as they pulled up or we’d find cars that were already expired or didn’t have a ticket on.”
Mr Brauer said this time they targeted parks on Grafton Street but to watch out cause they could be anywhere next.
“We will do it again. Keep an eye out for the parking fairy,” he said.
In the coming months Mr Brauer said there were a few cool activities to look out for.
“We’ve done a few different kickbacks over the year we’ve been around, we donated money to a family who lost their house in a fire,” he said.
“We are a local based nutrition supplement company, who are big on mental health and we donate to Kick On.”
