Whether it was indulging in delicious German treats, enjoying the festive atmosphere with live Christmas music, or getting a headstart on holiday shopping, the German Club in Cairns had it all at their annual Christmas Markets.
Fairy lights, and merry tunes set the scene on Friday night, November 15, for a magical evening, as residents gathered from 4pm in Bungalow for the one night only event.
Bringing together the perfect blend of festive food, lively entertainment, and local artisan craftsmanship to the tropical city, the event created a unique holiday celebration.
A selection of classic German treats, cups of authentic mulled wine, books, plants, jewellery, and hand made wooden ornaments were all on sale.
Bentley Park resident Sophie Vorderwinkler said she thoroughly enjoyed the event, picking up Christmas decorations, along with gingerbread cookies and chocolate-covered pretzels as festive treats.
“The event was great, it was nice to see locals supporting it,” she said.
