Police have released CCTV footage after a man allegedly broken into a home and sexually assaulted a woman.

Police have released CCTV footage after a man allegedly broke into a suburban home in Western Australia and sexually assaulted a woman before fleeing the scene.

It is alleged the man broke into a home on Allnutt St in Mandurah about 3.10am on March 5.

He then allegedly sexually assaulted a woman inside her bedroom before fleeing.

The alleged offender has been described as being aged in his 30s, of a heavy build and having short hair.

Detectives from the Sex Assault Squad have released CCTV footage.

“Investigators are seeking to identify the person shown who was in the area, and who may be able to assist them with their inquiries,” police said in a statement.

“Detectives are urging anyone who can identify the person pictured, or who has any information relating to this incident, to contact Crime Stoppers.”
