A woman has been charged with murder over the alleged stabbing death of a man in a Darwin suburb on Friday.

Northern Territory Police were called to a residence on Alawa Crescent on the evening of February 28, 2025, to reports that a 33-year-old man and a woman, aged 51, had been stabbed.

The man was discovered bleeding from wounds in both legs and unconscious and in a critical condition, and the woman had sustained a stab wound to her leg.

The man was declared deceased at Royal Darwin Hospital.

At the scene, a 31-year-old woman was arrested.

It is understood the man was her partner, and that she also knew the older woman.

Late on Sunday evening, NT Police issued a statement they had charged the 31-year-old woman with a count of murder and aggravated assault over the incident.

She will appear in Darwin Local Court on Monday.
