A dramatic collision on the Hume Highway near Campbellfield has been captured on dashcam.
The terrifying footage shared by dashcam Owners Australia shows a red P-plater in a white 4WD merging in front of a truck, which clipped the vehicle and caused it to spin into a family of four in a silver 4WD.
The incident unfolded when the inexperienced driver attempted to merge into traffic, inadvertently cutting off the truck, which was unable to avoid the collision.
The force of the impact caused the white 4WD to spin into the path of the other vehicle.
Miraculously, all involved in the crash walked away from the scene without injuries.
Despite the severity of the crash, emergency services were not required as everyone involved was reported to be unharmed.
Passing motorists could be seen stopping to offer assistance.
