A man who spent two days searching for his lost wallet has caused a stir online after sharing a photo of the unbelievable place he found it.

The frustrated homeowner’s plight has sent the internet into a spin after the snap was shared to the Mildly Infuriating Reddit forum where it was revealed the important leather accessory was hidden in plain sight the entire time.

Taken in a busy bathroom, the image shows a seemingly ordinary scene featuring a marble counter top, a patterned shower curtain and cream mat on the floor.

But upon further inspection, the black wallet can be located among the regular fixtures and fittings expected in a bathroom. Can you see it?

“Relative lost their wallet. Spent two days looking for it,” the Reddit post reads.

People were quick to jump into action to locate the missing accessory, with many left scratching their heads over the lost item.

However, some eagle-eyed users solved the conundrum quickly, spotting where the missing item was instantly.

“[It] Landed so perfectly on that black square,” one declared, prompting a huge response from those who couldn’t see it.

“If you didn’t say this, I would’ve never understood this photo,” admitted one.

“I literally didn’t register that it was supposed to look like the floor pattern until I got to the comments. I was so confused,” shared someone else.

While one declared: “It blends in so well. I couldn’t see it at all.”

Others confessed various objects in the photo had distracted them, such as the small stool and floor rug.

“The only way to find it would be to step on it,” concluded one.

“If I walked in that bathroom, I’d probably never see it,” added another.

It’s not the first time a photo of a lost item at home has set the internet alight.

Last November, a man baffled thousands with an image containing an extremely well-camouflaged Apple Pencil that had blended in perfectly with an off-white storage unit.

The head-scratching image confused the masses, earning a tongue-in-cheek title as the ultimate “Where’s Wally” for adults.

The unnamed user also posted the “optical illusion” to the Mildly Infuriating Reddit forum, revealing that his wife had lost the item and it was hidden somewhere in the snap.

“My wife lost her Apple Pencil four months ago. After replacing it, we just found the original,” he wrote alongside the photo of a white rolling storage trolley in what appears to be a study.

As expected, many users also had trouble locating the hi-tech product.

“I’ve spent so long looking for it, and I still can’t see it,” one person admitted. “Over 10 minutes.”

“I can’t find it, even after zooming in everywhere,” another revealed.

This has left me questioning whether I even knew what they look like,” a third person echoed.

“This is messing with me,” commented another person.

Eventually, a few eagle-eyed viewers managed to spot it and proudly shared their findings.

“For those wondering where …” someone replied, attaching the photo again but this time with a red circle highlighting the hidden spot.
