A FOUR-DAY lodge walk along the Three Capes Track will be launched in September, with bookings for next season already close to selling out.
In 2016, the Tasmanian Walking Company was awarded the contract to build and operate new lodges and a guided walk on the track.

The walk will see parties sleep in two new lodges, at Surveyors Cove and at Munro Bight on either side of Cape Pillar. They will be close to, but separate from, the three public hut sites as part of the walk.

The new walk will cater for small groups led by two guides, with clients enjoying Tasmanian produce, wines and craft beers.
And with the third stage, Cape Raoul, being completed in January, TWC general manager Heath Garratt said he was excited for the walk to launch in mid-September.
“Bookings for the season [from September-May] are about to sell out,” he said,
Originally the company was to start taking groups in October last year.
A Parks and Wildlife Service spokeswoman said the walk was critical to securing funding for the Three Capes Track.
“The inclusion of a commercial-operated walk will boost the economic benefit to Tasmania and increase the international recognition of the Three Capes Track as a must-do experience,” she said.
Almost 31,000 walkers have either completed or have booked to walk the Three Capes Track since it opened in December 2015.
