A TALENTED Russian photographer has brought the most famous ship in history to life in vivid detail by colourising original images of the ship before her doomed maiden voyage.
The RMS Titanic was the biggest, fastest and most luxurious ship of her age.
Built in Belfast, her maiden voyage from Southampton in England to New York City ended in tragedy on the night of April 15, 1912, when she hit an iceberg at full speed and sank in a few desperate hours with the loss of 1517 lives.
In the century since, the calamity has become a metaphor for colossal disaster and spawned shelves of books, a successful search to rediscover the wreck and one of the most-watched, lucrative movies in history.
Today, these stunning images reveal the Titanic's incredible opulence and luxury.
Working to commemorate the centenary of the disaster, Muscovite photographer Anton Logvynenko painstakingly hand coloured each images, working off detailed plans for accuracy.
Showing the Titanic's vast scale and revealing hitherto unseen exterior details, Mr Logvynenko's images also reveal the sheer opulence of the Titanic's luxurious interiors and first class cabins.
