Whether we are welcoming it or not, winter has thrust itself upon us. The rain, the wind, the 12 degrees that is so "freezing" to a lot of us, that it is almost embarrassing to admit it to any European.
We don't do cold very well down here, but thankfully, I found an item that will make it a whole lot cosier. And it's under 50 bucks!
I recently popped into my local Kmart to see what new winter items had made their way onto the racks, and that's when I saw it...
The holy grail of teddy bomber jackets and one that will have everyone flocking into stores for.

The $49 winter item we all need
The item in question? A black Teddy Bomber Jacket, retailing at $49.
Knowing full well that it's going to be a hit this season, the low-cut bomber was front and centre as soon as you enter the women's wear area. It is fluffy, cute, affordable, and once I tried it on, oh so cosy!
The design has a sherpa / teddy fabric exterior with a suedette lining, which will keep you snug. It's basically like a small blanky that lives on you.
But the winter goodness didn't stop there.

Teddy bombers everywhere!
After their sherpa bombers went viral last year, Kmart obviously got the memo that people want more of this trend, so they have also added a heap more to their winter range in various styles - so you're bound to find one style that you will like.
If you're after a lighter colour, the Trim Teddy Jacket ($45) is also cute with a bit of a Paddington Bear vibe in the button detailing.
Want a more chic and less "bulky" look, the Pocket Textured Cardigan for $30 is perfect. They come in two colours - beige and pale blue - and both with classic gold buttons.

Adding to the popular sherpa and teddy styles is the introduction of suede materials - which we've been told are going to be the big trend this winter.
According to Kmart's spokesperson, these bombers and shackets offer "the ultimate blend of soft lines and sophistication delivering effortless layering for the cooler months ahead."
"Featuring a cropped fit and drop shoulder design, this versatile piece offers a relaxed silhouette inspired by the on-trend shapes of the season," they added.
Of course, the Active Women's Sherpa Patch Jackets are also back with a range of new colours added to what we saw last year.
While they've moved up slightly in cost (from $25 last year to $28 now), they are still a Hailey Bieber dupe that people will want to get their hands on.
No more complaining about how cold it is anymore, folks!
