YOUNG Hobart winemaker James Broinowski is sharing the journey of turning grapes into wine with those who have helped his dream come to life.
Soon he will take two tonnes of Tasmanian pinot noir grapes and turn them into the first Small Island Wine — thanks to money from crowd funding.
Mr Broinowski said his supporters would be able to see “the grapes come to the winery, the fermentation, the pressing and bottling all through email and social media”.
For more than 10 years Mr Broinowski has travelled the world learning about wine.
He praised the Tasmanian wine industry for its support and generosity.
Fabian Christoph, former owner of Hobart restaurant The Mill on Morrison, is a partner in the project.
So far the crowd funding campaign has raised more than $10,000.
The campaign closes tomorrow. Details: www.pozible.com/project/189834
