‘It’s an inside joke”: Bride’s ‘tacky’ wedding ring choices severely backfires

“I don’t know what’s more embarrassing: the fact that you chose this ring, or the fact that you told people proudly.”

Wedding photographer shoves bride's stepmum

The weeks are counting down until *Sandra’s wedding, and she can barely contain her excitement for the big day.

She has started planning the final touches for their nuptials, which are “literally just around the corner”, and in anticipation, she finally got around to ordering her wedding ring

While she is absolutely obsessed with it, people online have slammed the design, calling it “tacky” and “tasteless.”

“Imma be so mad if he didn’t get it on his ring, like we agreed”

Sharing the photo of her ring design with a group on social media, people were instantly shocked by the design.

Well, honestly, the design of the ring isn’t that bad. It’s the engraving inside the ring that really got people talking.

She and her husband-to-be have quite a back story; before the loving couple got into a relationship, Sandra was dating someone her now-fiance knew -  his roommate.

So, in honour of her past relationship with her current fiance’s roommate, she decided to engrave a special message inside her ring.

“Sloppy seconds.”

Yes, I am serious. And apparently, so is Sandra.

“‘Sloppy seconds’ is our inside joke, 'cause I used to see his remote,” she explained on social media.

And while she and her finance promised to get each other this lovely engraving inside their rings, she’s not convinced he will follow through with it.

“Imma be so mad if he didn’t get it on his ring like we agreed,” she laughed.

“I miss the person I was one minute ago before I saw this”

The ring was circulated on a ring-shaming Facebook group, which quickly went viral for its foul-mouthed engraving.

For some, it was way too much information.

“There’s no way someone could get me to admit or engrave that,” a shocked person wrote. “Right? You couldn’t waterboard that out of me.” another responded.

“We should know less about each other,” a third wrote. “Wtf… why would you want to memorialise that on your ring?”

“I don’t know what’s more embarrassing: the ring, the fact that you engraved sloppy seconds, or the fact that you told people proudly.”

“It’s all fun and games until it’s an argument,” another agreed.

“I miss the person I was one minute ago before I saw this,” someone added.

And if the engraving was this bad, others couldn’t help but wonder about the rest of the wedding day.

“I bet the wedding speeches are gonna be just as cringe as this ring,” a woman said.
