I lovingly pack $75 worth of caviar in my son's lunchbox

"My son is destined to be the world's-greatest surgeon. So, I take his nutrition very seriously."

mothers dinner for her genius son

A mother's love is endless has been taken to the limit with this lunchbox. She packs her son everything from steak to caviar to ensure his palate is sophisticated later in life, when he grows up to be a "surgeon."

Mum Brianna took to Instagram to show what she packs in her son's lunchbox, to ensure she helps cement his path to becoming a surgeon.

The video, with over a million views, starts off with the mother packing her son's lunch. He's in year one; most parents pack a sandwich, fruit, veggies - cut into shapes if you're feeling fancy. Not this mama-bear: she takes lunches to a whole new level.

Her voice over starts as she packs lunch: "Is this the world's most expensive school lunch? My son is destined to be the world's-greatest surgeon. So I take his nutrition very seriously."

"Steak strips and smoked salmon"

She continues: "I have developed his palate to be quite refined, to fit in with his colleagues later in life. His first day of school lunch, is sure to keep him fueled through his grueling case load."

"In my first graders lunchbox I pack, steak strips, steak sauce, smoked salmon and caviar."

If that wasn't enough, there are also accoutrements paired with the high-protein lunch.

"I packed quite a bit into his lunchbox, accompanied with creme fraiche, and potato chips."

The OTT mother is quick to point out that only the perfectly round chips make their way into the lunchbox, the rest are discarded; maybe she gives herself permission to eat these so her son doesn't see any imperfections in the house.

He also gets a watermelon salad with feta and balsamic glaze - because which six-year-old doesn't love a salad at school?

"For his treat, he gets chocolate cake with sea salt sprinkle."

Brianna ends the video with "I can't wait for him to come home and tell me what he thinks of his lunch. He is sure to set a good impression at school with his teachers and friends."

So what do real-life surgeons have to say?

There were many surgeons, working surgeons, who had a lot to say about this lunch. And that a refined palate is not a prerequisite for being a great doctor.

"I am a surgeon. I can eat an entire meal in the time it takes to ride the elevator. A significant percent of my nutrition comes from what’s left unattended at the nurse's station.," one commented.

"As a surgeon, I had taco bell for lunch," added another.

While this viewer admitted, "As a surgeon, I had a Nutella sandwich and half a banana."

And finally, from @surgerymd, "Little did you know surgeons eat crap just like everyone else. Even more when on call."

Yes, this is satire

After hundreds of comments - someone came to their senses.

"Y'all this is satire. She's being funny. Check out her other videos. In one video her son is going to be the best tattoo artist in the world. Come on guys."

But not before someone commented that the mother had used the wrong spoon for the caviar.

"Not real caviar sorry if it was you would know to use a pearl spoon and not a metal spoon because it will mess up the taste of caviar," Brianna replied.

It turns out, the caviar was FAKE! And the mum gives a detailed video into how to make it for those who are keen on making their own caviar look-a-like treats.

Viewers had a good laugh about it.

"How do ppl not get this is satire, especially the actual surgeons commenting they eat on the run etc … like, it’s a joke," said one, with another writing, "I spent way too much time confirming this is satire."
