Mum traumatises internet with 'mum slop' dinner she feeds her family

"Praying for your kids."

Backlash over cajun pasta fail — woman's recipe misses the mark!

A mum has left the internet well and truly traumatised today after sharing a clip of her preparing a meal for her kids.

The stay-at-home mum of two, who posts under the username @thepolishmum, described the slow-cooker meal as "yummy"— but viewers weren't so sure.

The beige slow-cooker dinner

She starts off the now-viral video, which has 17 million views and counting, by cutting up a giant sausage with kitchen scissors.

"Easy dinner for my kids as a busy stay-at-home-mum," the text over the video reads.

She then prepares the "cajun sausage and chicken pasta" by frying the sliced sausage in a pan until it's burnt.

The mum then tosses the charcoaled chunks into the slow cooker, along with some chicken breasts that have been lightly dusted with something called 'Slap your mama' seasoning.

Then comes a generous amount of heavy cream, chicken broth, a massive dollop of seeded mustard, a knob of butter and garlic and onion powder.

She then pops the timer on for three hours, and the meal, which consists entirely of shades of beige and brown, begins to bubble away.

Once the timer goes off, she shreds the chicken breasts and throws that back into the pot, along with a whole packet of parmesan cheese.

To finish it off, she stirs through cooked Penne pasta, and dishes the meal up to her toddlers, who honestly look stoked.

"No vegetables"

However, commenters weren't so sure about the kids' wellbeing, with one user saying: "Someone check on these kids" and another asking how they're still alive.

"Praying for your kids," another wrote.

"Excuse me WTF did I just watch?" asked someone else.

"Looks like there are no vegetables in the USA," a third wrote.

"These Americans don't know how to cook," pointed out a fourth.

Someone else simply replied: "UNHEALTHY."

In other clips, the mum is seen making waffles and bacon for her kids for dinner, as well as mac and cheese, spam pasta and chicken nuggets.
