FREE Metro bus travel will ensure senior cardholders stay connected with their community this Seniors Week with accessible transport to all events.
Fares will be free for seniors on any Metro bus from October 12-18.
Seniors Week is an annual campaign presented by the Council of the Ageing (COTA) supported by government.
It is the largest celebration for people over 50 in the southern hemisphere.
Transport minister Michael Ferguson said a key objective for COTA was providing accessible transport for those who want to participate in the activities on offer.
He said COTA would ensure all Seniors Week events observe relevant COVID safety plans.
