Man who got Bluey tattoo on arm has 'unhinged' message to parents

If your kids were eager to chat with him about his new ink, you might want to hold them back...

Should Bluey be the mascot for Brisbane 2032 Olympics?

Adult Bluey fans are a different kind of breed  - and no, I don't mean they're Blue Heelers.

They're just grown-up humans with a slightly unusual obsession with a family of anthropomorphic dogs from Queensland.

Just take a look at TikTok, where enamoured fans, well outside the show's target demographic, sing its praises.

"My favourite kids show. I’m 29," reads one comment underneath a viral clip from the animation. Another fan said: "I WILL LITERALLY GO TO MY LITTLE COUSINS HOUSE JUST TO HAVE AN EXCUSE TO WATCH BLUEY."

The online fandom extends to other platforms, too, with adults creating Bluey Instagram accounts, joining Bluey fan Facebook groups, and posting in a 77,000-person strong Bluey subreddit.

One of these fans, is a man named Josia Hughes, who took to X last week to upload a photo of one of his new tattoos, which shows Bluey bursting out of a red flower.

But as you'll soon find out, just because you're a fan of a kid's TV show, doesn't mean you like kids... at all.

"Little seed spawns"

"New ink... hurt like heck but it's healing like heaven," he wrote.

"But to any breeders out there, please stop your little seed spawns from talking to me about it? It's giving me the ick."

So yeah... liking a kids' show doesn't automatically translate to being a decent person.

People in the comments were confused to say the least, with many describing the post as "yucky" and "cringe."

"I went from 'awh' 😊😊 to 'oh'😧😧," someone admitted.

"I got a tattoo of a children's show character, and now children want to talk to me about it. How could this happen?" said another person sarcastically.

Then this X user joined in and wrote: "Wait, why are kids asking me about the tattoo of beloved children's cartoon character Bluey I have on a readily viewed part of my body? I had no idea this would happen. Parents, police your children, please because I make bad decisions."

"Get some adult interests"

Someone else told the man if he didn't like kids talking to him about his tattoo, "get some adult interests then."

"Why exactly do you like a show that centres around two 'little seed spawns' and their 'breeder' parents?" someone else asked.

"How can I get attention while also being a complete tool?? I got it!!" one other comment read.

And finally, this person claimed: "I think referring to people as 'breeders' is more 'ick' than a child approaching someone who tattooed a child's cartoon character on a very obvious spot.

"But... yeah... okay..."
