The cat is out of the (chip) bag... because shoppers have finally stopped gatekeeping a Red Rock Deli dupe that's been hiding in plain sight at ALDI.

Yep, you won't have to fork out half a mortgage to afford your favourite packet of RRDs because the budget supermarket is selling near-identical ones for almost half the price.

TikToker Coco, a.k.a @lecoqsportif27, recently posted a clip letting her followers in on the product, which apparently is the best-kept secret among ALDI enthusiasts.

She said it would be "literally a crime" not to share them, so you better believe our tastebuds are prepped and ready to hear what they are!

"Best chips in the entire world"

While browsing her local ALDI, Coco holds up a packet of chips and declares: "These are literally the best chips in the entire world."

So, what are they?

Well, if you've been crying ever since Red Rock Deli discontinued its truffle flavour, we have some good news for you.

They're the Blackstone Truffle and Olive Oil Potato Chips, and a 200g pack costs just $3.49.

"Coles will make you pay $15 for some truffle chips," she says. "[These are] $3.50, and they're literally crack."

While she might be exaggerating just a bit about the 15-buck thing, they're still much cheaper than a bag of Red Rock Deli chips, which cost $6.30 at Coles.

The video clearly found its target audience, with fellow truffle chip fans coming out to back Coco's bold claims.

"I work at ALDI and have been gatekeeping these for so long that they’re too good," an employee wrote.

"Gosh, now my ALDI is going to be sold out of my fave," someone else said.

Then this user suggested this delicious-sounding pairing: "Dip it in the ALDI goat cheese spread, and you’ll never have anything else as a snack."

"We have been hoping no one has clued how good these are!!" another ALDI chip connoisseur wrote.

Meanwhile, others were so grateful to finally be in the know, with one saying: "THANKYOU!!! I have been craving truffle chips since they stopped making the Red Rock Deli ones. 😭 You are the GOAT."

"Thank you for your service," another stated.

"I’m so sick of paying $5-$8 for a bag of chips!! I’m going to ALDI from now on. Ugh. You’re a gem!" concluded a different TikToker.

"For $3.50?!!" I'm running!" someone else admitted.
