A pair of $25 sneakers at Kmart have whipped shoppers into a frenzy, with one TikTok user claiming they’re the ultimate dupe of a popular Nike style.
The clip, captioned “Kmart dupe finds”, has gone viral on the platform, drumming up more than 324,000 views.
The Kmart Tennis Sneakers, which user @jorjablogz showed in both a black-and-white and pale blue-and-white colourway, have been compared by shoppers as a cheaper alternative to Nike’s Low Cut Pandas, which retail for as much as $400 and are often sold out in Australia.
TikTok users were stunned at the find.
“They actually, like, look good,” one commented.
“I bought a pair and painted the Nike tick for my sister’s friend’s birthday present … cheapest dunks ever,” a second wrote, with another agreeing: “Just stick a Nike sign on them.”
“Bro just draw the Nike logo then boom.”
To get away with the fact they’re not the real deal, one person suggested wearing the sneakers “with some long pants … only front of shoe is visible”.
“You’re good to go! Who’s gonna know?” they added.
“If you walk fast enough no one would notice,” someone else wrote.
“Probably come from the same factory as the real ones.”
“Running to Kmart right now,” another commented.
