If you’ve been on social media at all in the last month (which, chances are, you have been) you’ve definitely seen a video or two about Kmart’s clothing range for this summer.
According to TikTok, just about everything is ‘incredible’, ‘life-changing’ and a stellar dupe for their high-end counterparts. But, how can you really tell until you try it on?
So, that’s just what I did, and spoiler alert, I was pleasantly surprised.

My review of Kmart’s summer pieces
Going into my local Kmart, I had a few specific things I was looking for, though in a couple of things they were out of stock, or didn’t have my size. Note to self: get in quicker next time!
But, of the range I was able to check out, here were my top picks.
Sleeveless Knit Woven Midi Dress, $25
I had to start off with the dress I’ve seen go the most viral on social media - everyone is talking about this dress!
The Sleeveless Knit Woven Midi Dress has a ribbed top and flared skirt, and comes in black, as well as green, yellow, and blue.
It’s a dupe of DISSH’s Mon Scoop Neck Midi Dress, and whilst, I’ll admit, I wasn’t so sure about it when looking online, I really did like it on me.
Though I think it would fit better on someone a little shorter than me, or at least with a shorter torso, it is super cute and flattering.
The straps allow you to comfortably wear a bra with it, which is always a bonus, and it has pockets!
The best part about it is that it can be easily dressed up or down for almost any occasion with the right shoes and accessories.
It has some differences from the DISSH alternative, but whilst that one retails for $190, this one is only $25 - an absolute steal in my opinion.

Sleeveless True Knit Wide Neck Ribbed Dress, $30
This is another one of Kmart’s DISSH dupes.
I am a fan of DISSH myself and own a few of their dresses that are similar in shape and design to the Sleeveless True Knit Wide Neck Ribbed Dress, so I was super intrigued to try on this more affordable alternative.
I will say, this dress is not quite as thick or heavy as the DISSH dresses. However, I still do think it’s really beautiful.
The lightness of the dress means it’s more comfortable, and fits a little more casually. It’s also not see-through at all.
I would happily wear this out to brunch!
Sleeveless Shirred Bodice Midi Dress, $35
Another one that’s gone super viral lately is the Sleeveless Shirred Bodice Midi Dress.
I really thought I would like this one going into the store, and after putting it on, I can tell you I was right.
Similar to the Sleeveless Knit Woven Midi Dress, this one has a shirred top and flared skirt, although the top is a more unique shape with a keyhole opening and button at the back.
The dress feels really high quality - higher than any of the others I tried on at the store. The ribbing is really nice and doesn’t feel cheap or thin, and the dress is lined, meaning it’s not see-through whatsoever. The straps are also just wide enough to still wear a bra with it if you’d like to!
For me, I do wish that the torso was slightly longer, however otherwise the fit is really nice.
It comes in black and an almost green-gray shade, and honestly, I am obsessed.
Short Sleeves Crinkle Tie Waist Mini Dress, $18
As someone who is quite tall, I tend to stay away from mini dresses. It just feels like they’re getting shorter and shorter every season!
However, I decided to try on Kmart’s Short Sleeves Crinkle Tie Waist Mini Dress as a bit of a wild card to make me step away from my beloved midis and maxis, and it actually really surprised me.
The dress has a V neckline and flared skirt, with an additional tie at the waist to create shape.
The material on this is a little bit thin, but for the price, I truly think it’s perfect. It is super flattering, and long enough that even on me, you’re not going to see anything you don’t want to.
The shape and fabric makes it great for a range of different casual activities - you could wear it to the beach, or dress it up a little for lunch with friends.
I really recommend trying this one on if you’re in Kmart, even though it doesn’t look like anything special on the hanger!
