Aussies have been losing their minds over a $120 outfit that has gone viral, as shoppers declare it “the most flattering and comfortable” tracksuit that is “perfect for winter”.
Uniqlo recently released its “C Sweat Set” in Australia after it repeatedly sold out overseas during Europe’s cold season – and unsurprisingly, the affordable set is proving just as popular here.
Many shoppers have taken to social media to declare the product, which costs $59 for the jumper and the same for the bottoms, an instant favourite, praising its fit and price point.
“Since its recent launch in Australia, the Uniqlo: C sweat has experienced significant popularity, largely driven by its strong presence on social media platforms,” a spokesperson for the Japanese store told news.com.au.
“This strong online demand underscores how Uniqlo’s approach to LifeWear continues to appeal to Australian consumers seeking stylish yet practical wardrobe staples.”
The brand added that its “popularity” soared due to the set’s “minimalist design and high-quality fabric”.
“The oversized yet structured fit resonated with the growing demand for relaxed yet stylish loungewear, particularly in a post-pandemic era where comfort remains a priority.
“The overall collection, designed by our creative director Clare Waight Keller, brought a refined, elevated take on casualwear, blending Uniqlo’s signature functionality with a fashion forward aesthetic.”
It’s a brand ethos Aussies are clearly on board with as some have gone as far as to post about their purchase online and rave about the item.
“Seriously the best fitting, most flattering and comfortable tracksuit set. You NEED this!!!” one wrote on TikTok.
“Bought the viral Uniqlo tracksuit expecting to hate it on me, but it’s an absolute slay,” said another.
As another declared: “This Uniqlo tracksuit is making me SO excited for winter fashion let’s gooooooo.”
Others praised some of the features on the garments, including the adjustable drawstring on the pant’s ankles as well as around the waist.
Australian fashion stylist and commentator, Elliot Garnaut who has worked with the likes of Phoebe Tonkin, Shanina Shaik, Karl Stefanovic and Andy Lee, said the item is proving popular because of its high-end details.
“Its versatile design – offering clean lines, fluid tailoring, and a neutral palette – caters to modern wardrobes, easily transitioning from workwear to weekend and everything in between,” he told news.com.au.
“The set taps into the ongoing quiet luxury trend, appealing to those who favour understated elegance without the hefty price tag as well as die hard fashionistas.”
