A 22-year-old rugby star has turned heads on the red carpet at the sport’s night of nights after she took home the player of the year award in a plunging dress.

Maddison Levi, who plays rugby sevens, was one of the many faces at the Rugby Australia Awards at Royal Randwick Racecourse on Wednesday.

The award winner, who confessed it took her the longest to get ready for the event, dazzled on the red carpet in a plunging halter neck dress.

The form fitting white ensemble, which she hired, was gathered under the bust and an extra piece of material created a three dimensional look.

The red ensemble was backless, which photographers captured as she turned her back to the camera.

Her brunettes hair was styled in a ponytail and she finished the look with a white handbag.

Kaitlin Shave, who was picked for the squad ahead of the Paris Olympics earlier this year, also opted for a pop of colour in her outfit.
