A local cafe has come up with a clever way to keep its customers loyal amid the rapid rise of prices across all things dining.
The eatery has offered a 10% discount to visitors, but it comes at a cost. You need to be rather "clever" to receive it.
A diner shared the notice posted inside the cafe, sharing: "This coffee shop has a riddle you can solve to get a discount."
I know what you're thinking, and I'd be out of there in a flash, too. Not because of the cheek but because I am confident I would never get it! At least not at a time when I would be visiting... BEFORE caffeine!

Solve this riddle to get a discount
Creeks Cuppa, whose location wasn't shared, erected the sign at their entrance.
"Brew Brain Teaser - solve this for 10% off," it reads, before continuing on with the riddle.
"I have weight but no mass.
I move swiftly yet stay still.
I'm felt, not seen, and speak without a voice.
I can lift, topple, and chill.
You can hold me, but I can't hold you.
What am I?"
The notice ends with: "Tell the answer to your barista for 10% off your next drink."
Wait... not even the one you are just about to order? I have questions beyond the actual riddle...

When the note was posted to Reddit, many were in the same boat as myself. They'd rather go elsewhere than have to engage in something slightly educational before their morning coffee.
"Hopefully their coffee is better than their riddles..." someone commented.
"Just pay the 10%," another wrote.
And another agreed that "this riddle sucks."
Meanwhile, others were keen to get on board - even if they weren't actually at the cafe ordering food or drinks.
The most popular answer (in case you were wondering) was wind.

Aussie cafe praised for unique pricing twist
Speaking of cafe discounts, back in March, an Aussie cafe went viral after a Reddit user posted a unique sign of theirs to the platform.
This time it was about charging people a surcharge.
“Surcharge never ever, on any day,” it read, before listing the business’s opening hours.
While some applauded the approach, saying it was “a breath of fresh air”, others were sceptical.
Some commenters on the post were less happy with the news, noting that without surcharges, the prices of items on the menu would simply be higher every day.
“Just included in the cost,” one commenter said.
“Bet it doesn't open on weekday public holidays, either,” said another, pointing out that the business doesn’t open on Sundays - potentially due to having to pay staff more.
