Tasmanians love their fish and chips and there is no shortage of great options across the state but we couldn’t let the question of who is best rest.
So we asked you to tell us whose batter is better and who gets you crumbing back for more as part of the Mercury’s new Best of Tasmania series.
We were inundated with more than 500 comments via our website and Facebook page from people nominating their favourite businesses and we have now compiled a top ten list.
Voting is now open and will close at 10am on Friday, October 18.
The winner, as chosen by Mercury readers, will be announced online that day and featured in Saturday’s Mercury.
