Aldi selling ‘highly anticipated’ cult-favourite lobster tails for $34.99

One of Aldi’s fan favourite Christmas products is back, with excited shoppers set to buy up big ahead of the silly season.

The WEIRDEST Christmas foods from around the world

Aldi’s cult-favourite lobster tails are about to hit shelves just in time for the silly season.

The seafood special – which costs $34.99 for two – has gained quite a reputation over the years, with excited shoppers taking to Facebook to say they’d be buying the item up in excess ahead of Christmas Day.

Billed as Lobster Tails with Garlic Butter Glaze, the “tender and succulent” crustaceans are seasoned with butter, garlic and lemon juice, making them the “perfect luxury addition to any festive table”.

“If you’re looking to add a little extra something-something to the table, these lobster tails will elevate your dining experience to new levels of sophistication,” Aldi Australia’s shopping expert, Kylie Warnke, said.

“We know that they are a customer favourite to celebrate this fun time of year.”

Lobsters aren’t the only gourmet item, though, to feature in the much-anticipated Christmas range – which will arrive in stores next Wednesday, October 25.

Other selections include a Salmon Wellington with Cheese and Dill Sauce, “delicately wrapped” in crispy puff pastry and available for $15.99.

“These salmon wellingtons are showstoppers in their own right,” Ms Warnke said.

“An entertainer’s dream that is easy to prepare and packs a flavour hit. Wrapped in flaky pastry means even the kids won’t shy away from giving it a try.”

“With prices starting at just $6,99, we have tasty seafood options to suit every budget,” Ms Warnke said.

“Aldi’s frozen seafood range offers a convenient option for customers looking to plan ahead this festive season, with additional fresh seafood products to be made available in time for Christmas Day.

“Aldi has taken the hard work out of food prep so you can spend less time cooking and more time socialising with these opulent yet convenient freezer feasts.”
