25yo Aussie reveals wild reason she’s now ‘homeless’

A self-proclaimed “hot” young Aussie has made a bold admission about her current living arrangements after unexpectedly becoming homeless.

Young Aussie reveals she's "homeless"

Emily Webb is homeless, but according to her, she’s so hot that it doesn’t matter.

Ms Webb, 25, lives on the Gold Coast. Currently, all her most precious items are stuffed in her car while she rotates between couch surfing with friends or going on dates to find a good place to sleep for the night.

She’s been frantically applying for rentals, but because Australia is in a rental crisis nationwide, the market is competitive and she’s been left in the lurch.

“I’ve offered to pay rent six and 12 months in advance and still had no luck,” she told news.com.au.

Ms Webb runs a successful OnlyFans account with over 100,000 followers on Instagram. She earns a high income and is looking at paying around $1000 a week in rent.

She doesn’t seem like a likely candidate to be become homeless, but she hasn’t had a permanent address for a fortnight now. But, because of pretty privilege, she said it hasn’t mattered much.

“I can’t believe I’ve been wasting my money on rent all this time. Life hack: If you’re hot, don’t ever pay rent,” she announced online.

Ms Webb revealed that she’s been using the dating app Hinge and staying at different men’s houses when she wants a break from relying on friends.

“I’ve been on dating apps finding different guys’ places to stay with, and it is going surprisingly well. I don’t usually tell them. I don’t want to put pressure on anyone,” she explained.

“I don’t mention that I’m homeless and I don’t think I look homeless.”

She’s created a weekly schedule for herself. She usually stays with friends four times a week and goes on dates about three times a week.

If there’s a “vibe”, she’ll patiently wait.

They usually ask her to stay over and she says yes, which gives her a place to stay for the night. Even if some of the men don’t own bedheads, she said most places have been “clean”.

“I have so many friends on the Gold Coast, but I don’t want to overstay my welcome or be a burden, but I don’t mind being a burden to random men,” she said.

So far, she said nothing bad has happened, but she stressed that if a date didn’t work out, she wouldn’t feel pressure to stay because she could stay at a friend’s place.

Having that autonomy means she’s less vulnerable, and so far, she’s only seeing benefits.

“It is good not paying rent. The places I’m looking at are around $1000 a week, and I’m saving so much,” she said.

Going on dates and staying over the night might be saving her money in rent now, but it isn’t her long-term plan.

For now, though, she loves seeing what men will easily agree to.

“I love pushing the boundaries of pretty privilege and seeing how far I can take it. You’re only single and hot once and I love taking advantage of it anywhere it can.”

Ms Webb said she’s feeling “hopeful” she’ll find a place soon, and she’s waiting to hear back on a few applications.

“I’m just applying for apartments and it gives me the space to be picky. I just realised I’m fine without a place. I feel like any day I could have a rental. I’m not extremely stressed,” she said.
