Ronnie and Georgia confronted by fellow contestants on tonight’s episode of The Block

THE Block’s Georgia and Ronnie are about to confronted over their design cheating scandal but the Perth couple aren’t taking the allegations lying down.

THEIR kids room might’ve scored them this year’s first perfect ten but the controversy around Ronnie and Georgia’s impeccable bedroom keeps on coming.

The Block’s most controversial couple Ronnie and Georgia Calouras were forced to defend themselves yesterday after they were accused of copying the design of their children’s room from a Melbourne-based interior design store called Norsu interiors.

And, in tonight’s episode, the West Australian couple clearly aren’t going to take the allegations lying down — as their fellow contestant Jason brings up the cheating scandal.

“I’ve noticed some pictures on the internet, along with everyone else here in this meeting, that look extremely similar to the room you produced for your kids room,” he tells them.

As the rest of the couples shoot panicked looks at each other, Georgia fires back.

“I’ve gotta say something, I have to defend myself here,” she tells them.

“I am highly passionate about that bedroom I did. I went into that store because I knew I wanted the Mrs Mighetto prints, I wanted them for my girls room. I knew I wanted the rose gold bed from Incy Interiors, they happened to be a stockist of that. I 150% did that whole room on my own. I did not have help from them and I take pride in my interior design abilities and I won’t let you say that they helped me on that,” she adds.

Later in the episode, in a piece to camera, Georgia sarcastically slams the allegations.

Apparently, I didn’t design my winning kids room, I didn’t deserve my 10 out of 10 and I just think they’re sore losers,” she says.

The couple also defended themselves in an interview with Woman’s Day yesterday, claiming they were being ganged up on and were the victims of tall poppy syndrome.

Regardless of Ronnie and Georgia’s defence, there’s no denying the similarities weren’t just coincidence after the Melbourne design store took to Instagram to thank the Perth couple for their visit.

“A heartfelt thank you to the gorgeous @ronnieandgeorgia for visiting our store ... we’re absolutely pinching ourselves. Such a special moment for our Norsu team,” the message read, alongside a photo of the couple’s room on The Block.

The rules of the reality show state teams are not allowed to be helped by professional interior designers or stylists.

Ronnie and Georgia won the kids bedroom week on The Block, scoring the first 10 of this year’s series.

As well as winning $10,000 they were able to steal a point from one of the other teams for next week’s room reveal.
