The Block’s Ronnie and Georgia accused of ripping off their winning design for children’s room
LOOK familiar? The Block’s Ronnie and Georgia have been forced to defend themselves after being accused of stealing this winning room design.
THE Block’s controversial couple Ronnie and Georgia Caceres have been forced to defend themselves after being accused of “stealing” the winning design of their children’s room from a professional interior design firm.
The Perth couple have now responded to the allegations, telling Woman’s Day: “It’s tall poppy syndrome. It felt like we were ganged up on!”
Ronnie and Georgia won the kids bedroom challenge last week, scoring the first 10 of this year’s series.
And in an explosive episode this week, fellow contestant Jason will accuse the couple of ripping off the design of the room after he was sent a photo of a room style by Melbourne interior design business Norsu Interiors.
A photo on the business’ Instagram shows a kid’s room they’ve recently styled — and it’s very similar to the one presented by Ronnie and Georgia Caceres on the show.
Along with the same rose gold bed, the couple also used the same wall prints, toys and blush canopy used by the business.
And it seems it’s not just a coincidence. The design firm posted a message to Instagram thanking the couple for visiting their store.
“A heartfelt thank you to the gorgeous @ronnieandgeorgia for visiting our store ... we’re absolutely pinching ourselves. Such a special moment for our Norsu team,” the message read, alongside a photo of the couple’s room on The Block.
The rules of the reality show state teams are not allowed to be helped by professional interior designers or stylists.
Eagle-eyed fans were also quick to spot the inspiration for the room, with one viewer posting a photo on Nine’s Facebook page.
“Just copied another person off Pinterest pretty much lol. Not really inventive,” the viewer commented alongside the photo.

As well as winning $10,000 they were able to steal a point from one of the other teams for next week’s room reveal.
