THE Red Hot Chili Peppers have kicked off their Australian tour by road trippin’ through Hobart.
The Californian band, set to play at the Derwent Entertainment Centre on Sunday, posted a photo on Instagram this morning of frontman Anthony Kiedis on the Murray St pier admiring the Spirit of Hobart.
On Friday, the band travelled under the Tasman Bridge, with bass player Flea uploading a video yelling into the wind from the Mona Roma I along with snaps from MONA itself.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers’ tour marks their first visit to Australia in 12 years and only trip to Tasmania in the band’s 36-year history.
Hobart superfans disappointed by the cancellation of the VIP experience received good news overnight when Live Nation reinstated their package.
