Prince Harry’s book will take his war with brother William to a new level by telling the world about their conflict.

Harry’s biography Spare – expected to reveal more than his Netflix series – reportedly complains about him playing second fiddle to his brother, The Sun reports.

Prince Harry’s new book will blast the system that left him playing “spare” to older brother Prince William.

The Duke of Sussex, 38, will lift the lid on his rift with the Prince of Wales, 40, and detail his years of playing second fiddle to William.

The explosive book is set to be published next Tuesday, and it is expected to go further than his $100 million-plus Netflix docuseries and give a detailed blow-by-blow account of the brothers’ falling-out.

Prince William and his wife Kate, the Princess of Wales, have always stayed silent on the breakdown of the brothers’ relationship.

William has barely spoken to his younger brother in the past three years.

Their father King Charles, 74, is expected to avoid the worst of Harry’s anger in the book, with Harry reportedly being warned that Charles’ wife, Queen Consort Camilla, 75, is his “red line”.

A source said: “At the heart of this book lies a sibling rivalry between little brother and big brother.

“It will reveal Harry’s bitterness and feelings of unfairness that by the nature of hierarchy and birthright that he always played second fiddle to older William.

“The falling out is to be covered in the book in detail and what aggravates is it’s not an outsider revealing these private moments – it’s Harry giving his one-sided account of family affairs.

“Harry and William were meant to stick together and support each other.

“Their mother Diana always warned them they must never fall out because they would need one another. It is very sad it’s reached this stage.”

Harry left senior royals in a “state of sadness” when he spoke to Netflix about private conversations at the Sandringham Summit.

He also accused William of “screaming and shouting”, refused to support claims he had not been bullied by his brother and alleged Charles told lies.

The book is set to delve deeper into his fury at William getting preferential treatment because he is higher up the line of succession.

It will also look at how the death of his mother Princess Diana, when he was just 12, affected him.

The book has been ghostwritten by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist J.R. Moehringer.

Royal biographer Ingrid Seward said: “He’s got a very good ghost who will write well about feelings, and I think it’s totally fair that Harry should talk about his mother, because everybody else in the world has and they’ve sort of taken her over.

“The publisher will know that Diana sells. And you don’t have to say too much because whatever he says is coming from him.”

Sources close to the King maintain “he loves his son very much” and the door “is always open” and there is an invitation to dinner whenever Harry, now based in California, is in the UK.

But a source told The Sun: “Camilla is Charles’s red line. If Harry trashes her then Charles could pull the plug, and Harry knows that.

“Harry had a difficult relationship with Camilla, who had an affair with his father when he was still married to Diana.

“But attacking Camilla would not go down well among palace staff or his father, and Harry is aware.”
