Lana Del Rey surprised the crowd by calling upon major singer to join her onstage at the Coachella music festival.

Lana Del Rey and Billie Eilish are the musical duo we never thought we needed.

The singing superstars left fans wanting more after Del Rey surprised the crowd by calling Eilish to join her onstage at the Coachella desert music festival, which kicked off this weekend in Indio, California.

Eilish surfaced from backstage to the roar of the crowd and took her place next to the Young And Beautiful singer on the gilded floating balcony overlooking the main stage.

The pair couldn’t help but gush about each other after their set.

In an enchanting performance, the duo performed Eilish’s Ocean Eyes and Del Rey’s Video Games together.

After their surprise set, Del Rey raved about her fellow musician, who recently won the Best Original Song Oscar with her brother and producer Finneas for their hit What Was I Made For? from the Barbie movie.

“That’s the voice of our generation, the voice of your generation,” Del Rey told the crowd. “I’m so f***ing grateful she’s standing next to me right now, singing my favourite song of hers.”

Eilish shared this photo of the pair taken onstage.

Embarrassed by the praise, Eilish playfully replied, “Get the f**k out of my face!” before they laughed, and the Oscar winner said Del Rey is one of her inspirations.

“This is the reason for half of you b***es’ existence, including mine!” she told the audience. “Lana Del Rey, you guys, come on!”

The surprise duet comes after a video of Del Rey resurfaced from November in which she denied to Harper’s Bizarre that a collaboration or performance with Eilish was in the works.

“I love her, I love her so much,” she said of the Bad Guys singer, who once had Del Rey as her phone lock screen cover.

“I have no teases, no confirmations about collaborating with Billie, but I feel like our careers feel like a collaboration. But it’d be fun to get in the studio with her and Finneas, for sure.”
