THE Huon Blues & Roots Festival has had to cancel again due to a lack of support needed to carry on the event that was rescheduled in February due to the local bushfires.
The event was to take place this Saturday at Home Hill Winery at Ranelagh as a fundraiser for the volunteer fire brigade.

Organiser Nic Orme said the interest that had prompted the organisers to reschedule the event failed to materialise.
“Instead of what would have been a fundraiser it was simply unviable to put it on this weekend,” he said.
“It has been cancelled permanently for this year. We have organised one side show with Tex Perkins & The Fat Rubber Band, and they’ll be playing Saturday night at the Waratah Hotel and tickets will be available via Moshtix.”
All Huon Valley Blues & Roots Festival ticket holders will be refunded and the organisers hope the event will return next year.
Tex Perkins and The Fat Rubber Band will perform on Saturday night at the Waratah Hotel, 272 Murray St, Hobart, supported by soulful seven-piece party band Fulton Street.
The doors open at 8pm and tickets will be $35 plus booking fee, from Moshtix .
