THE Waggon and Horses bar worker Tamarah Davey will don the yellow and black along with the excited footy crowds this weekend.

Ms Davey said the North Hobart sports bar was teeming with fervent locals each year on AFL Grand Final day.

“They’re a good crowd,” she said.

“I think what brings them here is the atmosphere really, and the food.”

The Richmond Tigers will face off against the Geelong Cats this Saturday in a slightly different fashion this year, screening as a night match at 7.30pm from the Gabba in Queensland as Victoria fights off its second wave of COVID-19.

Ms Davey said Waggon and Horses was the perfect place to watch the game, play pool and swig a drink.

“Everyone loves a Cascade Draught,” she said.

“It’s going to be a long night celebrating if we (Richmond) win.”
