A SUDDEN and severe storm has caused damage to infrastructure and led to the temporary close of sections of the Taste of Tasmania.
When the storm hit everyone was moved inside Princes Wharf 1.

Hobart City Council festivals and tourism special committee joint chair Marti Zucco said the main priority was keeping patrons safe and secure.
“The ground crew worked with Tasmania Police and security to manage the site and keep people safe,” he said.

“The Castray Esp, forecourt, main shed and Paddock areas are now re-opened and we are re-evaluating the water side area. We need to check the umbrellas as three or four were badly damaged.
“We are waiting for an arborist to check the trees before we reopen Kids in the Park.
“So everyone’s back to enjoying it now.”
