Mischa Barton stuns on Cannes red carpet after troubling few months

IT’S been a troubling few months for Mischa Barton. But the actor has hit the red carpet in Cannes looking fresh and relaxed.

AFTER a troubling few months, Mischa Barton has hit the red carpet at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival looking fresh and relaxed.

The 31-year-old wore a low-cut black gown with a leather bodice and smiled as she posed for photographers at the festival in France overnight.

Later on, the O.C star smouldered in another black dress. She wore the sexy strapless number while attending the De Grisogono “Love on the Rocks” party.

The glamorous appearance follows several months of trouble for the actor. In March, Barton filed a lawsuit against an ex-boyfriend for trying to sell a sexually explicit video for $500,000 she says he secretly filmed.

The actor said her “worst fear” came true when reports first surfaced that an alleged “revenge porn” tape of herself was being shopped around to X-rated sites.

In December, the star was hospitalised after a number of concerned neighbours called the police after witnessing bizarre behaviour. Footage showed Barton hanging over the backyard fence of her West Hollywood home and rambling about her mum being a witch and Ziggy Stardust.

Once released from hospital, she released a statement to People explaining her drink had been spiked.

“(I) voluntarily went to get professional help, and I was informed by their staff that I had been given GHB. After an overnight stay, I am home and doing well.”

TMZ footage shows Barton acting bizarrely following a night out.
