The Australian singer, 41, appeared on Sunrise this morning addressing the matter for the first time, after it was alleged in court on Thursday he towered over neighbour Phillip Hanslow with a brick during a fiery altercation in Sydney on January 23.

Hanslow, 66, is defending charges following the altercation with Sebastian over a fence at their adjoining properties in Maroubra.

Hanslow is charged with intimidating with the intention of causing him to fear physical or mental harm and recklessly damaging property.

The Australian Idol alum said some of the claims aired in Waverley Local Court were “completely fabricated”.

“I’ve chosen to not say anything, I’ve learned now that it’s … Where do I start? There’s much that’s been said that is not true,” Sebastian said, without identifying the information that is untrue.

The father-of-two claimed their dispute on January 23 was “not an isolated” event, and that it had been ongoing for some time.

“It’s not me versus him, it’s the police who decided to take the initiative of taking an AVO out.”

“I know it’s more of a story to flip the narrative so that I’m the bad guy, but it’s just completely not true.”

On Thursday, Hanslow’s legal team requested CCTV footage from the argument that would show Sebastian with a brick, in a bid to get the charges dismissed.

Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge adjourned the subpoena matter until March 23 to allow Sebastian’s legal team to retrieve the footage. If they fail to do so, it could result in an arrest for Sebastian.

In the meantime, Hanslow is restricted by an interim apprehended violence order taken out by police to protect Sebastian.

Sebastian, along with his wife Jules, bought their $3.1m home in Maroubra in 2013 and spent nearly three years overhauling it.
