Michael Hutchence’s daughter Tiger Lily has been quietly dating a British model for several months.
The ultra-private Australian star, 27, can be seen in newly-discovered photos from the Instagram account of Ben Archer, who it appears she’s been in a relationship with since at least July 2023.
Honouring her birthday in July, in a post that went unnoticed at the time, Archer shared a series of candid photos of Tiger Lily, who is the only daughter of INXS singer Michael, who died aged 37 in 1997, and UK television star Paula Yates, who died at 41 in 2000.
“Happy birthday to the rock dog,” Archer wrote of Tiger Lily, who took to the comment section to write, “I love you!”
In one photo, the couple can be seen wearing hydrating sheet masks while peering out a window. In another, Tiger Lily, born Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily, is wearing a tin man outfit as she pulls a dorky pose.
“Best tin man in town,” Archer added.
While Archer doesn’t post regularly on social media, he can be seen promoting a number of photo shoots he’s fronted in magazines, as well as music videos he appears to have been involved in.
Prior to her current relationship, Tiger Lily, who bears a striking resemblance to Michael, was with musician Nick Allbrook for six years, before revealing in April of last year the pair had split.
When she was dating Allbrook, a previous guitarist for the hit Aussie band Tame Impala, Tiger Lily was living in Fremantle, Perth.
While Tiger Lily lives a life largely out of the spotlight, she began following in her late father’s footsteps in February last year with the quiet release of her first digital album, Tragic Tiger’s Sad Meltdown, a play on a past headline written about her.
It is not known where Tiger Lily is currently based, with the star’s Instagram account set to private.
In 2017, a bombshell ABC’s Four Corners investigation revealed Tiger Lily missed out on a significant chunk of royalties from her father’s music potentially running into the tens of millions of dollars.
According to the report at the time, as part of the global Paradise Papers offshore tax haven leak, the rockstar’s former lawyer Colin Diamond was controlling much of the estate, and separately owned the company holding the music rights.
Uncovered in the leak of more than 13 million documents were handwritten papers revealing how a company called Helipad Plain was established in the tax haven of Mauritius in 2015 as part of a deal between Mr Diamond and music entrepreneur Ron Creevey.
Helipad Plain’s stated aim was the “commercial exploitation of the sound recordings, images, films and related materials embodying the performance of Michael Hutchence.”
According to Rhett Hutchence, his brother wanted any money from his estate to be split, with 50 per cent going to Tiger Lily, then 10 per cent each to his father, mother, sister, brother and Yates.
But the intellectual property rights were never part of Michael’s estate. They were owned by a British Virgin Islands company called Chardonnay Investments, of which Mr Diamond became the sole owner after the rocker’s death.
“The reason for this is that he was a trusted friend of Michael Hutchence and because of that and the fact that he (MH) had various family issues, he left Colin Diamond to deal with the assets of Chardonnay,” a lawyer for Mr Diamond wrote in an email contained in the Paradise Papers.
Four Corners added that Tiger Lily had received money from Mr Diamond but “nothing like” the full value of her father’s rights.
After Yates’ death, Tiger Lily was raised by her mother’s ex-husband Bob Geldof, now 72, in London, along with Yates and Geldof’s three daughters Fifi Trixibelle, now 40, Peaches and Pixie, now 33.
In 2014, Peaches died of a drug overdose aged 25.
