Piers Morgan fears Palace not telling public everything about Queen’s health

TV host Piers Morgan has expressed his fears that the Palace is withholding information about the Queen’s health, saying “I hope I’m wrong.”

Piers Morgan fears Palace is hiding truth about Queen's health

Piers Morgan says he fears the Palace is hiding the true state of the Queen’s health from the public after she pulled out of the Remembrance Day service.

The TV host said he “hoped” he was wrong as he commented on Buckingham Palace’s announcement that Her Majesty has a “sprained back”.

Morgan tweeted his suspicions:

According to The Sun, Morgan also gave the Queen his best wishes as he posted a picture on Instagram of her at a previous Remembrance service.

He said: “The Queen will miss the Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cenotaph for only the 5th time in her reign (twice, she was aboard, and twice she was pregnant).

“The Palace says she has ‘sprained her back’ but I’m beginning to fear there is something they’re not telling us about her health. Hope I’m wrong.

“Remember them today, and remember Her Majesty too.”

Prince Charles led the nation today in remembering our fallen soldiers in a poignant service at the Cenotaph.

It came just hours after the Queen, 95, who has been resting for a month under doctor’s orders, was said to be “deeply disappointed” to miss Sunday’s service.

PIERS DOUBLES DOWN ON ‘LIAR’ MEGHAN

It comes as Morgan launched another scathing attack on Meghan Markle – eight months after he lost his television hosting job for calling her a “liar”.

Morgan, who left Good Morning Britain amid the furore, weighed back into his feud with the Duchess of Sussex after she said sorry to a British court on Wednesday amid a gruelling legal battle with a British newspaper.

Meghan apologised to the Court of Appeal in London for “misleading” a judge about emails showing her attempts to influence Finding Freedom, a biography about her and Prince Harry, saying: “I forgot.”

Tweeting a number of front page headlines referring to the revelations on Thursday local time, Morgan wrote: “I’ve now had eight months to carefully reflect on my statement that I don’t believe a word Meghan Markle says … and I still don’t.”

“The ‘end game’ is that the Sussexes are stopped – by the Queen – from ruthlessly exploiting their royal titles for 100s of millions of dollars while simultaneously trashing the royal family and monarchy,” he said.

“It’s shameful.”

Twitter users came out in support of Morgan.

“Kudos to you Piers! This has validated everything you and others have said about her,” one said.

“And after this breaking news, no-one else will,” sad another.

“I think it is time to start a campaign for ‘Misleading Meg’ to make a public apology to @piersmorgan.”

However, others disagreed with Piers’ comments, with one writing: “You are obsessed mate.”

Another agreed: “This is not a good look Piers.”

It comes after Meghan admitted in a written apology that her chief publicist was told to brief Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand, who wrote Finding Freedom, despite issuing a public statement last year that claimed she and Prince Harry “did not contribute” to the book.

Meghan claimed that the oversight was unintentional.

The court heard that Meghan had previously emailed Jason Knauf, her former communications secretary, a detailed note on December 10, 2018, which included some “helpful” background “reminders” about her estranged family.

PALACE ‘PUT PRESSURE’ ON MEGHAN TO VISIT DAD

Meanwhile, Meghan reportedly refused advice from Buckingham Palace to visit her estranged father, Thomas, and slammed the royals for putting “pressure” on her and Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex, sent her father a “heartfelt” five-page letter in 2018 after they reached “breaking point”, reports The Sun.

The Duchess of Sussex told a London court she got a phone call from a mystery royal about an interview Thomas Markle gave to The Mail on Sunday. In a bombshell 20-page witness statement Meghan suggested the family only became concerned when he turned his guns from her to the wider monarchy.

Meghan said: “While my husband and I were sitting with Senior Member B, I was told that Senior Member A was on the telephone and wished to speak to me.

“The telephone was passed to me and we had a discussion about the situation in the presence of Senior Member B and my husband.

“Once the call ended, we continued discussions with Senior Member B, and it was only after these discussions, and in accordance with the advice that I received from the two senior family members, as stated in my Re-Amended Reply, I decided, that I would write a letter to my father.”

Meghan defiantly stepped out in a red dress yesterday just hours after her court showdown over a royal biography.

The Duchess of Sussex strode hand-in-hand with Prince Harry as he presented war heroes with medals in New York – hours after she apologised to the Court of Appeal amid a gruelling legal battle with a British newspaper.

The mum-of-two stunned in a plunge neck gown by Carolina Herrera and wore Princess Diana’s Diamond Tennis Bracelet for the gala.

Harry could be seen putting a protective hand on his wife’s back before chatting with each of the dignitaries in turn.

At one moment Meghan extended a hand out to her husband as a reporter standing behind asked if she was “proud” of her husband.

“I’m always proud of him,” Meghan replied.
