Jackie ‘O’ Henderson set to release first memoir The Whole Truth: ‘I am ready to talk’

Jackie O has announced she is releasing her very first memoir in which she doesn’t shy away from any hot topics.

Jackie “O” Henderson has announced she is set to release her very first memoir, titled The Whole Truth.

The radio personality, 49, excitedly shared the news on-air on Wednesday morning on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, telling co-host Kyle Sandilands that she is finally ready to tell her story.

And it’s set to be a juicy read with Jackie promising to detail her failed marriages with former radio host Phil O’Neil, aka Ugly Phil, and photographer Lee Henderson, the father of her 13-year-old daughter, Kitty.

“There’s just a lot. I wouldn’t even know where to start,” she said when asked of the contents of her memoir, which comes out on October 29.

“Like, there’s things in there that I’ve never talk about, because I just haven’t felt like I am ready to talk about them. Obviously, I go into [past marriages] but that’s not, you know, it’s just a lot of things.

“All the things you’ve wanted to know are in there now.”

With a career spanning three decades, Jackie – who admits she is “really excited” yet “slightly terrified” to share her story with readers – sure has quite the tales to tell.

She is set to write candidly about her body, health, salary and parenting. And while these topics have somewhat featured in the media over the years, many parts of her life have been kept fairly underwraps.

Jackie O was married to British photographer Lee Henderson from 2003 to 2018.

“There’s a lot I’ve shared on radio throughout the years, but there’s an equal amount I haven’t,” she wrote on Instagram as she shared a first look at the memoir’s cover.

“Endless hours and months were spent sitting on this couch revisiting all the highs and lows and there were times I thought about abandoning it altogether, mostly out of fear, fear of judgement I guess.”

But Jackie said she didn’t let that fear stop her from sharing everything – warts and all.

“But I’ve realised it’s better to own every part of me, even the parts I’ve struggled to speak about before, because speaking the truth brings more peace than hiding from it ever could,” she continued.

“I’m so proud to share my story and give you all of me in this book.”
