Following Hugh Jackman’s split from his “best friend” and wife, Deborra-Lee, the actor is believed to be penning a tell-all book.

Hugh Jackman will “finally be honest with himself” in his revealing new memoir, according to new reports.

It’s believed the Wolverine actor is currently in the early stages of penning a tell-all autobiography.

Insiders claim that Jackman will give fans an insight into his fiercely private personal life, and will speak candidly following his recent split from “best friend” Deborra-Lee.

An insider told US Weekly: “Hugh is choosing to [write this book] now because he’s finally [being] honest with himself [and] the divorce.”

“The content will be Hugh speaking about his life,” added the source. “He’ll be opening up about his life like never before.”

Jackman hit headlines recently when he surprised fans with the news he and his wife, Deborrra-Lee, were getting a divorce.

The pair have been married for almost 30 years.

In a joint statement following their split, the couple said: “Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness.

“We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition.”

According to insiders, the couple had reached a point in their relationship where they were more like “best friends” than lovers.

“There was no drama or fighting — not that anyone is aware of anyway,” the source added to US Weekly.

“Hugh and Deb just reached a point where they were more like best friends. Their lives were so interwoven, so it’s an extremely tricky and gut-wrenching process dividing everything up and figuring out who gets what in terms of assets and finances.”
