The cost of educating one child through grades K-6 at Tasmanian primary schools based on levies charged in 2019:

Note: Schools were contacted by the Mercury to verify levies where the Education Department data did not provide a clear breakdown by grade

As there are more than 130 primary schools in Tasmania the Mercury has chosen to list the 20 schools charging the highest levies based on analysis of the entire list.

The Department did not provide a list 7-10 levies charged by Winnaleah District School. The school declined to provide this information to the Mercury when contacted
