A TASMANIAN distillery is in top spirits after taking home a win at a London whisky competition.
Lark Distillery, which has a cellar door in Hobart, took out Best in Show by Country for its Classic Cask 43% at the London Spirits competition in March. The tipple achieved a score of 92 points, earning it a Gold status as well as the Best in Show for Australia laurel.
Head of brand Demetrius Giouzelis said, “It’s a testament to our distillers’ non-wavering dedication to their craft and the vision of Bill Lark to create a Tasmanian whisky we can take to the world.”
This is the second event for the annual London Spirits competition, which judges spirits on quality, appearance and value.
