Vandals smash windows at Betros Bros wholesale warehouse

A prominent Toowoomba business owner was left disheartened after vandals targeted his property.

Vandals smashed windows at Betros Bros Annand St property.

BEVAN Betros was greeted by the sight of broken glass when he arrived at work on Monday morning after vandals smashed windows at his Annand St wholesale warehouse.

“They went down the side of the warehouse and threw rocks and branches at the windows,” he said.

Mr Betros said he had spoken to several other business owners who were targeted on Sunday night or early Monday morning, including cafe Raw Sugar.

He said this kind of petty damage was frustrating.

“The problem with any business getting damage is that you have to pay up and shut up,” he said.

“The insurance excess just about outweighs the cost of the damage.”

Mr Betros reported the matter to the police.
