A 59-YEAR-OLD Toowoomba man who blew more than five times the legal breath/alcohol limit while driving in the city’s CBD has been left with a large hole in his wallet and a 15-month disqualification.
David Russell Gibson blew 0.252 after being pulled over by police on Russell St on November 28, Toowoomba Magistrates Court heard.
He pleaded guilty to driving while under the influence of liquor and was fined $1500 and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driver’s licence for 15 months.
* SHARNN Anthony Paul Reardon, 27, was fined $950, and disqualified from driving for 10 months after pleading guilty to driving with a breath/alcohol reading of 0.132 on Archibald St, North Toowoomba, 5am, New Year’s Day.
* JEFFREY John Williams was fined $800 and disqualified from driving for six months after pleading guilty to driving with a breath/alcohol reading of 0.108 on Mariette St, Harristown, January 22.
* Courtney Coveney, fined $800, disqualified three months, conviction not recorded, breath/alcohol reading 0.105, Box St, Rangeville, on January 15.
* NICHOLAS Lisle Curley, 31, was fined $500 and disqualified from driving for three months after pleading guilty to driving with a breath/alcohol level of 0.068 while on a probationary licence, McGregor St, October 28.
* Matthew James Badkin, fined $400, disqualified one months (work licence granted), 0.069, Stenner St, November 4.
