Not content with already having to front court on serious charges, a 25-year-old Dalby man allegedly engaged in some road rage with school students en route to court.

The man claimed one of the school kids on bicycles had cut his mother off in her car in Pratten Ss, Dalby, about 8.35am Friday, Sergeant Sean Donaghy of Dalby Police said.

As the students moved on, the 25-year-old had continued to verbally abuse them, he said.

The man was charged with committing a public nuisance.

A little later that morning he appeared before Dalby Magistrates Court on a number of offences including four counts of disqualified driving to which he pleaded guilty.

He was sentenced to six months in jail to serve six weeks behind bars.
