Fine issued after serious Highfields crash
Police have finalised their investigation into a serious traffic crash, finding a young man at fault.

Police have issued an 18-year-old Highfields man with a $400 fine after he failed to give way at an intersection, causing a crash.
The man was travelling along Cawdor Rd on February 14 in a Kia Rio hatchback when he collided with a Honda HR-V wagon.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged and towed from the scene.
In an unrelated matter, police intercepted a Toyota LandCruiser ute on Cawdor Drv, on February 20.
The 38-year-old male driver provided a positive alcohol reading of 0.095 per cent.
Checks revealed that the vehicle was also unregistered and uninsured.
Police charged the Gowrie Junction man with middle-range drink driving and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
He will appear in the Toowoomba Magistrates Court in March.
On February 15, police attended a single vehicle traffic crash on Mather St, Highfields after a contract postman lost control of his motorcycle and fell onto the road.
Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics treated the man before transporting him to the Toowoomba Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
