Woman suffers broken leg after horse falls on her at Drayton

Paramedics spent about an hour stabilising a young woman after she suffered a significant leg injury after being crushed by a horse.

A woman has been rushed to hospital with a broken leg after she was crushed by a horse.

The woman, aged in her 30s, was at a private address in Darling St, Drayton when a large horse – 17.2 hands tall – fell on her.

Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics were called to the incident about 12.30pm Monday.

A QAS spokeswoman said it took them about an hour to stabilise the woman before transporting her to Toowoomba Hospital in a stable condition.
