Five teenage boys have been hit with 300 charges and remanded in custody after allegedly leaving a trail of destruction during a multi-day crimespree across Brisbane and the Lockyer Valley.

It will be alleged on August 29, the five boys were involved in several break and enters and attempted breaks in Forest Lake.

They allegedly forced entry into restaurants and businesses on Forest Lake Boulevard, Grand Ave and Woogaroo Street, damaging glass and stealing tills.

Three of the boys, the 16-year-old Inala boy, 17-year-old Acacia Ridge boy and 17-year-old Warwick boy, were also allegedly involved in similar break ins at businesses at Gehrke Road in Plainland on Wednesday.

It will be alleged the trio were involved in further break-ins at premises on Oxley Station Road in Oxley, restaurants inside a shopping centre on Beenleigh Road, Sunnybank Hills as well a number of businesses on Joseph Banks Ave and Forest Lake Boulevard in Forest Lake on September 4.

Police also allege the 16-year-old Inala boy and 17-year-old Warwick boy smashed glass panels to steal cash and store goods from several businesses on Old College Road, Railway Street, Western Drive in Gatton on September 1.

Gatton police station Officer-in-Charge Rowland Browne said the alleged offenders stole a white Mitsubishi ASX from a Jensen Street home in the early hours of Saturday morning.

They allegedly drove the vehicle to Brisbane stopping at Redbank and attempting to force entry to a business on Collingwood Drive.

At about 3.50am multiple shops were then broken into at a shopping complex on Goggs Road in Sinnamon Park.

Just before 4am, there were reports of an attempted break and enter at a tobacconist on Moggill Road in Indooroopilly.

The Mitsubishi ASX is believed to be involved in a break-and-enter at several businesses at a shopping complex on Blunder Road in Oxley.

The car was subsequently seen at a break and enter of a shopping centre on Wirraway Parade in Inala around 4.35am.

By Sunday the alleged offenders were back in Gatton where they stole a dark coloured Holden Cruze sedan from a Wilks Street address.

Both vehicles were involved in property offences in the Gatton CBD during the early hours of Sunday morning.

Snr Sgt Browne said the alleged offenders forced entry to the Betta Electrical store, but were only interested in cash.

“They were in the business for about 20 seconds, went straight to the register, took what they could and fled,” he said.

The alleged offenders proceeded to move up the main street, smashing windows and doors at another eight businesses and stealing small amounts of cash from some.

“This is really out of character for Gatton,” Snr Sgt Browne said.

“Having businesses broken into is relatively rare, but this scale is unparalleled.”

About 5am the white Mitsubishi ASX was used to ram a convenience store on Old College Road at Gatton before being dumped.

It will be alleged the other two youths, the 17-year-old Doolandella and 17-year-old Gatton boys, were also involved in a series of break and enters in Graceville and Sherwood on August 20, with entry forced and property stolen from multiple businesses on Honour Ave, Bank Road and Sherwood Road.

The 16-year-old Inala boy and 17-year-old Warwick boy were arrested in Warwick on September 4.

They have been charged with 94 property crime offences each and were due before Toowoomba Childrens Court on September 5.

The 17-year-old Gatton and Doolandella boys were arrested in St George earlier this week on September 2.

The 17-year-old Gatton boy was charged with 43 property crime offences and is due before St George Childrens Court on September 9.

The 17-year-old Doolandella boy was charged with 50 property crime offences and is due to reappear before Brisbane Childrens Court on September 23.

The 17-year-old Acacia Ridge boy was charged with 57 property crime offences and is due before Richlands Childrens Court today, September 6.

Acting Senior Sergeant Justin Suffolk from Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch said the exemplary work done by multiplie police, and forensic teams.

“Through exceptional investigative work, this multiskilled team has successfully identified and tracked the youths allegedly responsible for a series of shop breaks across Southeast Queensland earlier this week,” he said.

“Their tenacity and rapid response ensured we can bring those alleged to be involved before the courts, and to be held countable for the considerable disruption to businesses and other harm they have caused.”

Anyone with information about the offenders’ location is urged to phone Policelink on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
